Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area in Delta State, Dr. Michael .E. Tidi, has tasked newly inaugurated Supervisors of Warri South Local Government Council, to brace up to the challenges ahead, saying: “You (the Supervisors) are to stay awake, while others are sleeping”.
Fresh Angle International can report that Dr. Tidi handed down the challenge Tuesday January 18, shortly after administering Oath of Office to five Supervisors inaugurated to oversee different departments in Warri South Local Government Council.
While two of the newly inaugurated Supervisors, Messrs.: Mr. Sunny Bodor and Mr. Sunny Omene Mabiaku, were part of the exco dissolved early this month, there are three new faces among the Supervisors sworn in at the Warri South Council Main Secretariat in Warri.

Speaking shortly after the inauguration in the presence of Leader of Warri South Legislative Arm, Rt. Hon. Sylvester Ijabor, Warri South PDP Chairman, Mr. Johnson Agbeyegbe and other party chieftains as well as Management Staff of Warri South Local Government Council, Dr. Tidi, averred: “So many persons are qualified in the LGA. To be appointed, means you might have done something right. We did due diligence before the appointment. I didn't just do the appointments on my own. I consulted political leaders and others. Environment is critical to this administration. Warri South is relatively clean, but we can do better. Governance must not take the back-seat, because of politicking. Come up with innovative ideas, to up the educational standard in the local government (referring to the new Supr. for Education)”.
An Environmentalist and new Supervisor for Environment, Mr. Omawumi Elete, who responded on behalf of his colleagues, stated: “Thanks my chairman, for this rare opportunity to serve in your administration. Be rest assured of our loyalty and commitment. We will do our work diligently”.
