Illegal oil bunkerers face massive clampdown in Delta State as Officers and Men of the Anti-Vandals’ Unit of Nigeria Security & Civil Defence Corp, NSCDC, Delta State Command, intensify destruction of illegal oil bunkering sites across the state.

 

Our Senior Correspondent reports that a taste of what to expect in the days and months ahead, was witnessed yesterday, Monday January 17, when the Assistant Commandant of Corp, NSCDC Delta Command, JA Jeremiah, led his team to Ifie, Egbokodo and environs in Warri South Local Government Area, destroying drums and other containers used by illegal bunkerers.

Fresh Angle International can report that ACC Jeremiah, who was accompanied by some of his Officers and Men serving in Warri South, also stormed other illegal oil bunkering sites along Ubeji-Jeddo Road, where the anti-vandals’ team destroyed drums filled with products, suspected to be diesel.

During the operation, the NSCDC Anti Vandals’ Team, arrested a suspect (name undisclosed) and seized a Yamaha engine boat.

 

ACC Jeremiah, warned those engaged in illegal oil bunkering, to desist forthwith, saying the anti-vandals’ team of NSCDC Delta State Command, is ready to flush out those carrying out huge economic sabotage in the state.

Commander Jeremiah, pointed out that as part of their mandate of protecting critical public infrastructures, they have mounted extensive surveillance to track-down economic saboteurs, especially those vandalizing pipeline and siphoning products.

 

He appealed to members of the public, to always give useful pieces of information to the NSCDC, in order to carry out more effective operation, just as he charged Officers and Men of the Corp, to sustain the agility in the quest to flush out crude oil thieves.
