IGR: Obuh to invest heavily on tourism, vocational education

Frontline Delta State gubernatorial aspirant and seasoned technocrat, Sir Tony Chucks Obuh is poised to invest heavily in tourism and vocational education to boost internally generated revenue beyond what the state gets from the federation account, if given the mandate to govern the state in 2015.

This much was disclosed by Delta Successor Initiative, DSI, a leading support group working towards the gubernatorial ambition of former Permanent Secretary, Delta State Government House, Sir Tony Obuh.

Coordinator of  DSI, Engr. Peter Otomewo disclosed this to newsmen in Warri during a briefing that Sir Tony Obuh will complete and put to use the Wild Life Park at Ogwashi-Uku as well as Delta Leisure Resort and Theme Park at Oleri in Udu Local Government Area, as part of a strategic policy to promote, encourage and support the hospitality industry with a view to creating employment opportunities and boosting IGR.

According to Engr. Otomewo, Obuh’s wealth creation blue-print if elected governor of Delta State include a strong focus on entrepreneurship through investment in technical and vocational education in areas such as creative writing, film production and editing, fashion designing, auto mechanic and carpentry, joinery, craft making, welding and software development.
