NSCDC Boss charges officers on professionalism, intelligence gathering

The Kogi State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Suleiman Mafara, has charged Officers of the Command to be professional in the discharge of their duties.

 

Mafara, who gave the charge Wednesday March 2, during a seminar organized by the Intelligence and Investigation Department of NSCDC, admonished Officers to improve on their intelligence gathering to combat crime and criminalities in Kogi State.

 

He said the workshop was coming at a time the Nation is being threatened by insecurity, ranging from kidnapping, rituals, banditry and insurgency.

 

According to him, the 3-day workshop/seminar was aimed at strategizing intelligence gathering mechanism in Kogi State, stressing that much is expected from them in the protection of lives and property in the country.

 

 “This seminar is coming at a time the Nation is battling with some security challenges. We must brace up in our intelligence gathering and ensure that the protection of lives and property remain our top priority in the state.

 

“As gallant Officers, who are serving our father land, professionalism should always be our watchwords. You must always carry out your responsibilities as Security personnel with high sense of intelligence and should not be found wanting in anything that contravenes the law”.

 

Our Kogi State Correspondent reports that the resource person, Head of Intelligence and Investigation Department, NSCDC, Kogi State Command, DCC Mariam Adeiza, in her remarks, maintained that the 3-day workshop will avail officers the opportunity to get themselves acquainted on the latest way in intelligence gathering and combating crimes and criminalities in the state.
