A popular Warri based legal practitioner, Mr. Ben Mene-Ejegi was on Tuesday December 16 robbed of his Highlander Jeep in the early evening at the busy Ibo Market Round About in Warri, Fresh Angle International has learnt.
He reportedly told a Correspondent in Warri that he was dropping off his Secretary who lives around the area when the incident occurred, noting that when the first hoodlum approached him he thought it was the usual area boys begging for money until he suddenly saw others who ordered him out of his car and ransacked him of every kobo on him.
Barrister Ejegi said he was disposed of the car that was eventually recovered around the Urhobo College area of Effurun without his Wig, gown and portfolio containing his file.
It was gathered that the robbers only used the lawyers’ car to embark on further robbery escapades and later abandoned the Jeep when they snatched a more luxurious car but met their waterloo in their nefarious journey where one of them was gunned down and others fled.
Mr. Ben Mene-Ejegi has since recovered his jeep from the Enerhen Police station, while police sources told newsmen that they are on the trail of the fleeing robbers.
