Former member of the Delta State House of Assembly for Udu Constituency, Hon. Dr. Liege Lord Keston Okoro Muhammed Al-Amin, has called on the Urhobo nation to stand behind Senator Ovie Omo-Agege in his ambition to be governor of Delta State in 2023, stressing that nobody can protect Urhobo interest better than the Deputy President of the Nigerian Senate.
A statement he personally signed and released to newsmen on Monday says that Senator Ovie Omo-Agege was a Pan-Delta project and that he has demonstrated enough reasons to attract the support of all Deltans particularly the Urhobo nation in the coming polls.
‘’Omo-Agege is the only Urhobo voice in the government of the federal republic of Nigeria. His voice is being heard loud and clear in the Senate. His performance records are incredible. The Federal Polytechnic at Orogun, the Nigerian Law School, the restoration of some missing state constituencies in Urhobo, the federal appointments for our people, and many projects across Urhobo land and all over Delta State are just a few reasons why he must be supported by those who love truth and progress in Delta state’’, Keston Okoro said.
He disclosed that Ovie Omo-Agege as the fifth highest political office holder in Nigeria was enough reason to support his ambition, adding that every Urhobo man or woman should stand for Ovie Omo-Agege in the 2023 general elections because he has fought well to restore Urhobo honour and dignity in the Senate.
Keston Okoro, reiterated his earlier call on all Urhobo sons and daughters, fans and supporters of Ovie Omo-Agege both in Nigeria and the diaspora to come out enmass on Thursday to receive the Deputy Senate President during the rally in Effurun.
He emphasized that Senator Ovie Omo-Agege was Urhobo project and so he deserved the support of all Urhobo people and Deltans so as to actualize his laudable visions for the state.
