April Polls: I’ll do everything I have outlined in my manifesto, Ariyo vows
Barr. Robinson Ariyo addressing people of his constituency

The All Progressives Congress, APC candidate for Warri South Constituency 1 seat in Delta State House of Assembly in the upcoming April 11 general elections, Barr. Robinson Ariyo has vowed that he will do everything he has outlined in his manifesto.

Barr. Ariyo who was speaking yesterday at a meeting he convened to address his constituents/supporters as well as stakeholders, declared that Warri South Constituency 1 requires the services of someone like him who is knowledgeable in law making, policy development and over-sight functions.

The legal practitioner and peace building consultant who only recently escaped death in the hands of gunmen, averred that if elected to represent the people of Warri South Constituency 1, “he will build bridges, establish quality contacts and ensure robust representation of the people”.

He promised to ensure that multinational oil companies and other companies that are operating in his constituency perform their corporate social responsibility towards their host communities.

Barr. Ariyo lamented the lack of technical no-how by the government  of the day on how to access the huge billions of naira in the hands of international developmental agencies, promising that if elected, he will access those funds from the international development agencies to fast-track development in his constituency and other parts of Delta State.

According to him, for the past eight years, the biggest project executed by the current administration in Delta State is the 47 billion naira Asaba Airport, which he believes  is for a few instead of the larger majority of Deltans.

He noted he influenced development projects to Egbokodo and other communities within the constituency without being in government.

The House of Assembly hopeful opined that for the past 12-years, the incumbent member representing Warri South Constituency 1 has only passed 5 motions in the State House of Assembly, stating that he is the first person to call his constituents together for a meeting and promised that it will be a continuous exercise if he gets the people’s mandate.

Barr. Ariyo also criticized what he described as lack of government responsibility towards the people, especially in the area of road construction, particularly the construction of Effururn flyover, without constructing palliative measures for the people to use during the period of construction.
