Bomadi Council gets new SLG


 A new Secretary to Bomadi Local Government Council, Famous Ofurobiri has been sworn-in by Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Area, Hon. Oluwole Karetimi, Our Bomadi Correspondent reports.

Administering the oath of office at the executive chamber of the council chairman’s office in Bomadi, the Bomadi Council boss, Hon. Karetimi charged the newly sworn-in Secretary to the Local Government to be diligent and forthright in the performance of his duties so as not to betray the confidence reposed on him.

The Chairman told the new Secretary to the Local Government, “You have joined the train in Bomadi Local Government Council to implement the policies and programmes of His Excellency, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan as encapsulated in his 3-point agenda of Peace and Security, Infrastructural and Human Capital Development”.

While congratulating the new Secretary on his appointment, the Chief Executive of the Council maintained that the SLG’s appointment was an eloquent testimony of his outstanding credentials and the wealth of experience he garnered over the years in the political sphere.

Responding, the newly sworn-in Secretary to Bomadi Local Government, Famous Ofurobiri expressed happiness for the appointment and promised that he will be committed to his duties, promising to work harmoniously with the rest members of the executive to bring about the much needed dividends of democracy to the good people of the area.

Dignitaries that graced the ceremony were the wife of the Council Chairman, Deaconess (Mrs.) Beauty Karetimi, Vice Chairman of the Council, Hon. Richard Enarede, Leader of Local Government  Legislative Arm, Hon. Zidideke August, Supervisors and the Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Security Matters, Hon. Omoro Donbraye.

Others include erstwhile Vice Chairman of the Council, Hon. Perelayefa Ogodobiri, Chief Gilbert Sinclair and Dr Ojokai George.
