Fresh Exclusive: Lunatic-mother of three gives birth to baby girl near Hausa Quarters

There was frenzy in the Oil City of Warri, Delta State today when a lunatic identified simply as Ufuoma gave birth to a beautiful and healthy-looking baby girl at the “Corner Chemist” Area of Igbudu, near Hausa Quarters at about 9:30 am.

A resident of the area who claimed to have witnessed the delivery, Miss Joy Akpotor, told Our Senior Correspondent that she saw the insane woman in labour and she assisted her with the support of three other ladies.

According to Miss Akpotor, they administered some form of first aid and clothes to the mother and child, expressing surprise that after safe delivery by the lunatic, who Fresh Angle International gathered lost her husband last year (2014) about five women reportedly came and claimed to be relations of the lunatic with the intention of taking custody of the newly born baby girl.

Fresh Angle International also gathered that the where-about of two of the lunatic’s children are presently unknown, while one of her children, a teenage boy by the name Ovie Smart Osenebe was seen with her in the same vicinity where she delivered.

 Matron in Charge of Warri South Local Government Council Health Centre at Igbudu, Mrs. Annette Orove told Fresh Angle International in an exclusive chat that immediately they were alerted, she and some other health officials in the centre swung into action and administered the necessary professional medical attention to both mother and child.

According to Mrs. Orove, the curious crowd almost stopped the council’s medical personnel from carrying the baby to the Igbudu Health Centre for comprehensive health care, save for the intervention of the Military Task Force in the area, Secretary to Warri South Local Government, Hon. Bawo Nana, three Social Welfare Officers in Warri South and good spirited Nigerians within the environment.

Secretary to Warri South Local Government, Hon. Bawo Nana while speaking on behalf of the Chairman, Warri South Local Government Area, Hon. Mofe Edema, promised that the council will take good care of the baby and mother in collaboration with the State Social Welfare Office in the Local Government.

According to the SLG, anyone claiming to be relations to both the baby’s mother and unknown father with the intent of taking custody of the new baby will be adequately scrutinized.

We can also report that while the late husband of the insane woman, both of whom lived at Iyara Area of Warri as their last real home was an indigene of Orogun in Ughelli North Local Government Area, a certain lady by the name Onoriode Itoje told Our Senior Correspondent that she and the lunatic are of the same parents, claiming to be indigenes of “Oronigbe Community in Orogun, Ughelli North Local Government Area, Delta State”.
