The Kogi State Commissioner of Police, Edward Egbuka, has assured members of the public of an hitch free Eid-El-Fitri Celebrations.
The Commissioner in a statement through the command Public Relations Officer SP William Ovye Aya on Friday ordered for a watertight Security across the State before, during and after the celebrations.
Our Kogi State Correspondent, reports that Egbuka, who met with senior officers of the Command in Lokoja charged all Area Commanders, Tactical and operational Commanders as well as the Divisional Police Officers to beef up security within their Areas of Responsibilities and to ensure massive deployment of patrol teams along the major highway and undercover operations to black spots, flash points, and other vulnerable criminal spots to nip in the bud all forms of crimes and criminality across the State.
While felicitating with Muslims on the occasion of 2022 Eid-El-Fitri Celebrations, the statement added that, "the Commissioner of Police reiterates the Command's level of preparedness, determination and commitment in synergy with other security agencies in ensuring safety of lives and property".
The statement however admonished the people of Kogi State to continue to collaborate with the security Forces with credible and useful information on the activities of Criminal elements in order to curtail their acts.
