Omimi congratulates Delta PDP Guber candidate Oborevwori, Commends Governor Okowa, party for providing level playing field

The Political Adviser, to Delta State Governor, Dr. lfeanyi Okowa, Hon. Omimi Esquire, has congratulated with Delta State PDP Governorship Candidate in the 2023 general polls and Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, on his victory in the PDP gubernatorial primary held at Asaba yesterday. 

The Political Adviser (POLAD), equally commended Governor lfeanyi Okowa and the State working committee of the PDP, for providing a level playing field for a free, fair, credible and transparent primaries for all the aspirants.

In a statement, Omimi Esquire, described the PDP Governorship Candidate, as a dedicated party man whose record breaking tenure as the longest serving Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, has engendered massive collaboration with the Okowa administration, thus translating in the rapid transformation of the State.

While noting that the build up to the primaries was hectic for all the aspirants, he stated that it was only natural that at the end of the day, only one person will emerge as the party's flag bearer whose lot fell on Rt Hon Oborevwori.

The POLAD to Governor Okowa therefore urged the victorious winner not to see his emergence as a personal victory, but to extend his hands of fellowship to all co contestants as campaigns intensify, in order to ensure that as one united family, PDP in Delta State remains in power after Governor Okowa's second term in office, ends on May 29, 2023.

Omimi Esquire, stressed the need for all party faithfuls across the 25 local government areas to go back to the drawing board and start mass awareness at their various units and wards, to sell the candidature of the party's Governorship as well as other candidates for the State Assembly, House of Reps and Senate, to the electorate at various levels.
