The Managing Director, CEO of PFTN Nig. Ltd, Amb. Gabriel Enemona and President of Enemona Foundation, says he has dragged an online medium, SaharaReporters to court, over alleged false publication, demanding N100million as damages.
Our Kogi State Correspondent reports that Amb. Gabriel Enemona, made the disclosure during a press briefing in Lokoja, Kogi State on Wednesday June 1.
According to him, the purported false publication by SaharaReporters on March 31, 2022, has made his image and businesses to suffer colossal losses.
Making reference to the publication titled: "Kogi Deputy Governor's Business Partner, Enemona Josh Arrested by Police Over N530 Million Debt", Enemona described the entire publication as false and injurious to his reputation and businesses.
The CEO, who was Represented by Barr. Salifu Oguwche Usman of Rise Andrew Adejoh, a firm of solicitors, said they have given notice since 10th May, 2022, demanding a retraction from SaharaReporters.
He disclosed that steps were ongoing at the Federal High court by a legal team, to file processes against SaharaReporters, after a reminder was sent to them on 26th May 2022 upon failure to retract the said story.
