The Nigeria Medical Association, NMA, has confirmed the kidnap of one of its members in Kogi State, Dr. Rukayat Musa.
A statement jointly signed and made available to newsmen this afternoon, Thursday June 23 by the Kogi State Chairman and Secretary of NMA, Dr. Abubakar Alhassan and Dr. Udebuani Chimezie, respectively, said, Dr Musa was forcefully taken away by the kidnappers on Tuesday June 21, along Geregu-Ajaokuta stretch of Geregu Ajaokuta- Lokoja Road, while she was returning from an official assignment at Anyigba in Kogi State.
Our Kogi State Correspondent reports that Dr. Rukayat Musa, works with the NHIS Office in Lokoja.
The association, called on government and security agencies to work very hard towards her early and safe return.
It was earlier reported that, gunmen suspected to be kidnappers on Tuesday abducted seven people, including a medical Doctor and a lawyer.
