The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, reportedly sent some Palace Chiefs, yesterday, Tuesday July 12, to meet with indigenes of Itsekiri host communities" to Chevron's Olero, Dibi and Abiteye Fields, protesting over demands for basic amenities and the need to convert VTP 5 and VTP 6 trainees to staff.
Our Media Contact, claimed that the Monarch’s emissaries, reportedly acknowledged that demands of the protesters, were genuine, even as the protest entered day 5 today, Wednesday July 13.

Recall that leader of the protesters, Comr. Raymond Aderojo, had on Monday July 11, denied speculations that they damaged House Boats in Olero Field in the course of their protest.
The protesters are demanding the following;
* Portable Drinking Water
* Electricity
* Health Care
* Review of undergraduate Scholarship
* Review of Community workers Salary
* Employment for Graduates
* Siting of the Vocational Training Center in Warri to resume the VTP Program
* Conversion of VTP 5 and VTP 6 Trainees."
