As the May 29, 2015 hand-over date inches closer, Pro-General Muhammadu Buhari Political pressure group in the Niger Delta, Buhari Movement For Change, BMC, has admonished the President-Elect, General Buhari not to “recycle the same old brigades of politicians but give the new generation of Nigerians opportunity to serve” if the desired change in the country is to be realized”.
The position of BMC was disclosed to Newsmen in Warri weekend by its Coordinator, Prince David Iwere during a media parley.
According to BMC, young generation of Nigerians who have creative ideas devoid of corrupt tendencies should be encouraged by the Buhari/Osinbajo administration to enable them exercise their full potentials with a view to making Nigeria achieve its goal of becoming the preferred destination for genuine foreign and local Investors.
Prince Iwere averred that the incoming administration “should beware of politicians who lack principle and are already planning to defect to the APC after the April 11 polls”, saying “they do not mean well for Nigeria, but fighting for pecuniary purpose”.
The group asserted that under the President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration, ethnic nationalities in the Niger Delta like Urhobos, Ndokwas, Binis, Itsekiris, Isoko, Nkweres, Calabas and others lived in fear over perceived dominance by their Ijaw brothers and appealed to the APC Presidency to create a level playing field for all tribes in Nigeria to live in equality and Justice.
