Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide, has described the political style of South-East Elites as shenanigans, saying Ndigbo needs leaders like APC Presidential Candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who has worked hard for the South-West to regain control of mainstream politics.
The apex Igbo group, which made the declaration in an e-statement sent to Fresh Angle International this afternoon, Friday July 15, said: “The political misfortunes of the South-East are traced to the individualistic selfishness of a desperate APC Governor of the South-East and some South-East Senators, who are de-marketing zone, their actions promoted the insecurity and economic challenges of the zone".
The statement e-signed by the Secretary-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, noted inter-alia: “Tinubu was fair to all in Lagos as Governor, he introduced all tribesmen and ethnicity in governance and empowered them and it's not late for southeast Governors and leaders to emulate him, this is the best way to regain control of the political spectrum of the East, which is in the hands of the non State actors.
“Ndigbo needs a new political rallying point in the absence of Dim Chukwuemeka Ojukwu and Dr. Alex Ekwueme, Tinubu's father's figure in the southwest is exactly what is missing in the southeast, but there are still plenty of strongly encouraged Igbo governors, who will redeem the political woes of the southeast in the future”.
