According to Sahara Reporters 18 members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly have begun moves that may lead to the impeachment of the governor of the State, Ayo Fayose.
According to the report, at least 18 members of the house will begin investigations into allegations of grave misconduct against the governor.
One of the legislators said “We are going to look at the allegations against Governor Ayodele Fayose in a responsible manner and make our decision in line with the rule of law and the overall interest of the people of the state.”
“I can assure you that this is not a case of partisan witch-hunt,” the lawmaker said. He added, we are approaching the investigation with an open mind. No conclusions can be reached without a thorough investigation.”
