Scoop by Fresh Angle International, following undercover investigations weekend, revealed that hotels in the twin cities of Warri and Effurun, have stopped bookings by prospective female clients, except for ‘short rest’.
Despite refusal by some of the hotel receptionist to give explanation as to what may have led to the ‘the new management policy’, Our Correspondent, reliably gathered that the new development, was based on security concerns.
Findings, revealed that the policy came up after a couple of female clients, who booked hotel accommodations in their names, on the behest of their male ‘customer(s)’ were found dead and the male client(s) who later joined the females, that booked the hotel accommodation(s) could not be traced, because their identities weren’t documented.
While Our Correspondent visited hotels such as Winkem Hotel at Agbinone Street, off Refinery Road in the Ekpan axis of Uvwie Local Government Area and Open Heavens at Ifie in Warri South Local Government Area, in the course of the Investigation, a receptionists at one of the highest profile hotels in Warri/Effurun, told This Newspaper this morning, Monday July 25, via telephone, that a female is only allowed accommodation, if the booking was done by a company or an organization with verifiable identity.
