Why Okumagba’s death may spark off crisis in Okere Urhobo- Investigation
Chief Benjamin Okumagba

The reported death of former UPU President General and Otota of Okere Urhobo, Chief Benjamin Okumagba , could lead to crisis in Okere Urhobo,in Warri South local government if the state government do not intervene urgently, Fresh Angle investigations reveal.
Feelers from the area reveal that a recent advertorial on Vanguard Newspaper, refuting earlier report crediting late Benjamin Okumagba as the Orosuen is a teaser to growing frustrations of the other families that make up the kingdom.
Fresh Angle reliably gathered that text messages expressing disgust circulated among key stakeholders in the area , when the member representing Warri South Constituency II  in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Dennis Omovie raised a motion in the House for a minute silence to be observed in honour of the late former UPU President General . The anger of those that generated the text messages which were directed to the lawmaker and his allies from the Okumagba family is the pronouncement by Hon. Dennis Omovie before the House that late Chief Benjamin Okumagba was until his death the Orosuen of Okere-Urhobo, a claim which the Eburu,  Oki, Ighogbadu, Itifo  and Olodi families  faulted following the refusal of the state government to give staff of office to their late Otota.
While the Okumagba family in concert with Hon. Dennis Omovie are planning to bury the late Otota as Orosuen and possibly   nominate the next king within their fold, the other families making up the Kingdom have vowed to resist with the last drop of their blood any imposition of Orosuen by  the Okumagba family on them.
Fresh Angle investigations reveal that the renewed power struggle appears to have political colouration as the 2015 polls draw nearer.
