Don’t appoint questionable characters into your cabinet, CEEPEJ charges Buhari


A Non-Governmental Organization based in Warri, Delta State, Center for Peace and Environmental Justice, CEPEJ has charged the President-Elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (Rtd) not to appoint politicians with dubious character into his cabinet in other to maintain his integrity.

The body charged him to appoint only credible Nigerians with integrity into his cabinet, Agencies, Commission and Boards in the country to ensure good governance.

In a release signed by the National Co-ordinator/Chief Executive Officer of CEPEJ, Comrade Sheriff Mulade, the organization charged Gen. Buhari to beware of politicians who are being probed by anti-graft agencies such as the EFCC and ICPC, saying that the President-Elect should not betray the confidence reposed in him by Nigerians.

According to the NGO, the APC-led government should fulfill its promises to the electorates and ensure that eradication of corruption from all sectors of the economy beginning with the cabinet members, saying that he should also realize that the whole country has become his constituency and therefore he is father to all Nigerians irrespective of political, tribal or religious leaning.

While calling on all political parties, Nigerians, Corporate and professional bodies to co-operate with the President-elect to fast track the needed change in the economy, he appealed to Gen. Buhari to run an all inclusive and transparent government, just as it should declare a state of emergency on corruption and re-introduce the War Against Indiscipline (WAI) because Nigerians lacks discipline in all facets of life.
