Muslim - Muslim Ticket: I read how Shettima built churches burnt by Boko Haram - Rev. Gbejoro

Popular Warri based Christian cleric, Rev. (Dr.) Stephen Gbejoro, in a statement credited to him, said he changed his mindset after reading in the media, how the then Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno state, who is now the Vice Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC built all churches burnt by Boko Haram in the North - Eastern state of Nigeria.

In the statement, Rev. Gbejoro, renowned for his blunt position on Biblical and social issues, posited that what Nigeria needs today, are good people with testimonies, irrespective of what religion they belong.

The gospel preacher, recounted how a certain man came down to Jerusalem and Jericho, wounded and almost half dead. The wounded man, was ignored by Chief Priests and was given first aid by a Samaritan (A stranger) who carried him to the clinic and paid his bills.

In justifying his position, Rev. Gbejoro, was quoted thus: "St. LUKE 10v30-37:- When a Man who wanted to Justify himself (Like the Pastors,, Bishops and Shiekhs or Imams of today) before JESUS CHRIST in His Days; asked Jesus: Who is my NEIGHBOUR? A certain Man came down to Jerusalem and Jericho, he was Wounded (probably Stabbed) left almost 'Dead.' A Priests (unlike Pastors, Bishops, Sheiks, Imams) even Chief Priests - LEVITES, all passed by the Wounded Victim. It was a Certain SAMARITAN, a Stranger that came down and Applied First Aids with Oil, carried him to Clinic and paid all the Bills. Who was the Neighbour now (a Godly Man, or do I say a Good Christian or Good Muslim unto the Man Wounded? The Answer was the SAMARITAN!!! What I read in the Media about Ex Governor Kashim SHETTIMA, the Vice President to APC Presidential Candidate: Ahmed TINUBU; how he as a Muslim built back all the CHURCHES burnt by Boko Harams in Borno State, I changed my mind-set again that What NIGERIA needs today is a Good Person with Testimonies irrespective of what Religion they belong. The statement of Rev. Gbejoro, came amid repeated criticisms by the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, against the decision of the APC Presidential Candidate in the forthcoming 2023 general polls, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a Muslim by faith, picking Senator Kashim Shettima, a fellow Muslim as running mate.
