Fresh Angle International has obtained credible piece of information, regarding a developing cold war, between Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo and members of Anambra State House of Assembly, over issue of alleged financial deprivation of the state lawmakers, by the former CBN Governor.
A member of the Anambra State House of Assembly (name withheld) and card-carrying member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, same party with Governor Charles Soludo, dropped the hint last night at a location, close to Warri, in Delta State, during an informal chat with Our Managing Editor/Co-Publisher.
According to the lawmaker, members of the Anambra State House of Assembly, have not received the allowances as a result of alleged deprivation by Governor Soludo and members of the State Executive Council, were yet to get official cars as at the time of this report.
This Newspaper understands that the growing disagreement between the House of Assembly members and Governor Soludo, may lead to possible delay in the passage of Anambra State 2023 Budget, because the aggrieved lawmakers, have reportedly demanded detailed breakdown of the 2023 fiscal proposal from heads of ministries, departments and agencies.
It was gathered that approval by the State Assembly for the hundred-billion-naira loan recently secured by Prof. Soludo, suffered two months delay in the state legislature, due to discontent by the lawmakers.
