Pipeline Surveillance: 3rd phase ex- agitators’ leaders back Tompolo, frown at exclusion

Leaders of the 3rd Phase Ex- Agitators, have backed the Federal Government’s decision to award oil pipeline surveillance job to former Niger Delta agitator, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, saying they trust in Tompolo’s capacity to carry all along in the implementation of the surveillance contract.

Fresh Angle International can report that the position of the 3rd Phase Ex- Agitators’ Leaders, was contained in a communique issued after their emergency meeting held today, Tuesday August 23, at Ughelli in Delta State.

Whilst pledging: “Unreserved loyalty to High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, the co - ordinator of the pipeline surveillance”, the 3rd Phase Ex- Agitators’ Leaders in the communique, frowned at “the exclusion of the 3rd phase Generals/ ex- agitators in actualisation of the pipeline/ oil facilities contract”.

The communique signed by the National Chairman, 3rd Phase; General Tonye Bobo, National Vice Chairman, 3rd phase; General Birinumughan Jesse, Delta State Secretary, 3^rd Phase; General Louis Prince and the Coordinator for Warri South, Warri South-West as well as Warri North Local Government Areas, Comrade Abugewa Mene, emphasized inter-alia: “It will be in the best interest of the region to include the expertise and inputs of the 3rd phase ex- agitators’ leaders for the protection of pipelines and oil facilities in the region.

“We the ex-agitators’ leaders, see this pipeline surveillance as a call to duty, though we are constrained because, this is our means of survival.

“We are using this communique to call on High Chief Government Ekpemupolo and other relevant authorities for an all- inclusive meeting, especially with the 3rd phase ex- agitators’ leaders, to ensure proper security of the pipeline and oil facilities in the Niger Delta region”.
