Report just reaching Fresh Angle International says Warri Main Market along Warri Sapele road has been shut down following alleged fighting that broke out between some Ijaw and Agbasa youths in Warri.
Though the cause of the fight is yet unknown, but some youths carrying machetes were seen patrolling the market, while traders hurriedly locked up their shops and customers scampered for safety. It could not be ascertained as at the time of this report if any casualty has been recorded.
The fight was allegedly caused by argument over which of the youths have the “right to collect development levy”.
