Despite exposing the huge debt burden inherited from the Uduaghan administration, Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa may be making frantic moves to pacify members of Delta State House of Assembly and selected youths in the state who 'worked' for his election with the 10 billion naira his administration has concluded arrangement to borrow.

Fresh Angle International scooped from a source that part of the loan will go for the "renovation" of the State legislators quarters and buying of cars for the lawmakers, while Governor Okowa also appears determined to spend some of the amount on a so called youth empowerment through the local government councils that have been on strike following non-payment of average five months salary.

In a bid to perfect the youth empowerment programme, the State executive of NULGE as well as local government heads in concert with the Local Government Service Commission are being pressurized to call off the local government workers' strike even though no concrete arrangement is in the offing to pay staff of the 21 local government councils that have been on strike.
