Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Tidi, says fostering all - round National unity, is the only way to achieve a county that would gravitate towards genuine infrastructural, human capital and technological development.
Dr. Tidi, who made the assertion in a statement to commemorate the 62nd Independence Anniversary celebration of Nigeria, posited that it was the responsibility of all Nigerians, irrespective of tribe, religion and political differences, to work towards annexing the tapped and untapped natural resources, with a view to exploring the resources and developing the value - chain to the maximum benefit of the county in the short and long term.
He challenged the political and non - political classes to prioritize issues that strengthen our National unity and de - emphasize discourse that creates avoidable conflicts.
Whilst calling on people of Warri South Local Government Area to sustain their support for the Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa to finish strong in terms of democratic deliverables, Dr. Tidi, restated his administration's resolve to continually domesticate excellent grassroots governance.
