The Health Workers’ Union immediately embarked on an industrial action as a result of the attack, pending when the doctor fully recovers.
The union is demanding an unreserved apology from the governor before it will call off the strike. Fresh Angle however, gathered that the chairman of the hospital’s Management Board, Professor G.A.M Otubu had to intervene before the workers returned to work the following day.
