Barely two days to August 20, 2015 when Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Hon. The unanimous motion passed today, August 18 at the Council’s Legislative Chamber during plenary followed a report presented by the Deputy Leader of the House and Chairman, House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, Hon. Presenting the report, Hon. Richard Pessu explained that after investigation carried  out by  members of his committee in the Finance and Treasury as well as Environment departments of the Council and the management of Internally Generated Revenue, Hon. Edema was not found wanting, adding that “he followed  due process” in the administration of the local government  council. Hon. Pessu’s position was corroborated by a member of the Committee and Majority Leader of the House, Hon. Romeo Ogedegbe.

Mofe Edema was read at the Floor of the House, wherein the council Boss noted that his Vice, Hon. Mofe Edema, disclosed that over N1million has been refunded to the council treasury as a result of audit of casual staff carried out by his administration, expressing optimism that the amount might swell to N3 million once the exercise is completed.

The Warri South Council Boss, while disclosing that audit would soon be carried out for regular staff  of the council to stop any form of ghost workers, enumerated his administration’s achievements in the area of peace and security as well as environmental sanitation despite the current paucity of fund.
