Ultimatum on Abandoned Vehicles: Delta Government double-crosses Warri South Council

Business

Barely a week after authorities of Warri South Local Council gave one month ultimatum to owners of abandoned vehicles and trucks to remove them from major roads as well as streets in Warri or face seizure, the Delta State Government has invaded Warri roads, confisticating abandoned vehicles and trucks, Fresh Angle International can authoritatively report.

The operation which is being carried out by a brand new towing truck branded “Delta State Ministry of Transport”  began towing cars and trucks along Warri roads last week, with speculations rife that owners of the cars and trucks are being asked to part with reasonable sums of money before they could get their unused automobiles back.

There has been no official reaction to the development by authorities of Warri South Local Government Council, which  is constitutionally empowered to take up that responsibility.

It would be recalled that the Warri South Local Government Council through its Supervisor for Environment, Mr. Kenneth George gave owners of abandoned vehicles and trucks as well as operators of illegal motor parks in Warri the third week of September 2015 to vacate major roads and streets of Warri or face sanction.
