That Nigeria is our own,
The legs of her people!
- She shall never get crippled!
Let this be a time to remember
That Nigeria is a great nation,
Her people shall be of one heart!
-She shall never be torn apart!
If we must live on
Then, may we not be ordinary men
Gazing helplessly at our dying country
While stealers of our everything receive national salutes!
While at our various stations
We blow the tune of 'Kill and Divide' from our personal flutes!
If we must dream,
Then may it be of a new Nigeria!
One void of
- Underdevelopment, greed and pessimism,
- Corruption, intolerance and terrorism
- Unemployment, injustice and tribalism
- Epileptic power supply, devalued Naira and factionalism...
Yes! We may have failed
But that was before!
What if the time was now, not then?
What if your portion of patriotism is what is needed
To materialize the Nigeria we all hope for and dream of?
The embers must be fanned into fire
We shall not lose tenacity on the mission of our country!
Nigeria must go on,
No sitting on the edge!
Lift up your right hand in reaffirmed dedication
And chant the pledge!
