Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has described the late Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse II as a bridge builder, who stood for peace both within Warri Kingdom and beyond.
The Comrade Governor made the declaration Monday October 5, 2015 at the Olu Place, Warri when he led APC Chieftains on a condolence visit to the Itsekiri Nation.
According to Comrade Oshiomhole, the late Ogiame Atuwatse II did a lot towards the development of the country and recounted the strong bond between Edo and Delta States.
In a chat with Newsmen, The Akulagba of Warri, Chief Ayirimi Emami stated that the Edo State Governor’s visit to the Itsekiri people has no political inclination, stating that the governor has done a lot to advance the Itsekiri Nation.
In his remark, Regent of Warri Kingdom, Barr. Eroro Emiko applauded the Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole for the visit and told the Governor that Warri Kingdom began in the 15th century.
Barr. Eroro Emiko, stated “people like Oshiomhole gives us confidence that we will succeed in what we are doing”.
Our Senior Correspondent reports that Chiefs at the Palace during the Edo State Governor’s visit included Brown Mene, Emma Jones and Yaya Pessu, even as the Edo State Governor was accompanied on the visit by Delta State APC Chairman, Prophet Jones Erue.
