PDP Chieftain commends Buhari anti-corruption war

Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Bayelsa State, Mr. Wilson Ayakpo Dauyegha has given a thump up for President Muhammadu Buhari’s anti-corruption stance and solicited the support of all for him to achieve result.

He said that all his electoral promises, especially Zero tolerance for corruption and his effort to fight the menace is yielding positive fruit. Mr. Dauyegha, who spoke with Journalists on his planned defection to the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC along with thousands of his supporters next week  said he was dumping his party because it promoted corruption in all spheres since 1999  till May 29 when President Buhari assumed office.

“ Until President Muhammadu Buhari came in and make a lot of curbing of this deadly disease called corruption which has infiltrated every ministry, a lot of people were complaining but my party was necked deep in it without yielding to the cries of the masses”, he said.

The PDP chieftain also assessed the ministerial appointments made so far by President Buhari and described the nominees as people of worthy in character that will help fight corruption in the country.

He particularly commended the nomination of Senator Heineken Lokpobiri from Bayelsa State as a Minister describing it as a conviction of President Buhari’s desire to achieve all his promises to the people of Nigeria.

“Look at the ministerial nominee from Bayelsa State, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, it shows that the spirit of excellence is at work in Mr. President. This is a man that is loved by the people of Bayelsa State, who had served the people of his state with diligence”, he said. Mr. Dauyegha noted that all the ministerial nominees were tested and qualified bubbling with the desire to serve their dear country with all their heart and urged Nigerians to support them towards moving the nation forward.

“For the history of Ekeremor/Sagbamalocal government area of Bayelsa State we have notgotten ministerial appointment before. For this we are grateful to President Muhammadu Buhari  and Chief Timipre Sylva for appointing the son of Ekeremor / Sagbama Senatorial District as a Minister of  Federal Republic of Nigeria.“So therefore, we urge all sons and daughters of Ekeremor Local Government, Sagbama Local Government, and Bayelsa at large to come out enmasse to vote for second tenure of Chief Timpre Sylva as governor of Bayelsa State come 5th December, 2015”, he pleaded.

The PDP Chieftain said he wants to be part of the change spreading across the country and therefore have  firmly decided to defect to APC, as the party that believe in change, adding “I hate corruption with passion because it kills slowly its victim. I have decided not to be a victim of corruption any more. “I and about 1,000 faithful PDP members in Bayelsa state have made the firm decision to defect to APC, the party that believe in change.

Furthermore, in the next one week, I and my humble colleagues numbering about one thousand will cross carpet to APC at Yenagoa, Bayelsa State to bring the necessary change that Bayelsans and Nigerians are crying for. We are tired of people embezzling our money met for the development of the state for their selfish interest”, he added.
