The Honourable David Tonwe led Itsekiri National Youths Council, INYC has assured the Olu of Warri designate, Prince Godfrey Ikenwoli Emiko that they will ensure that his coronation is done in a peaceful environment, devoid of any rancour.
Hon. David Tonwe who spoke through an Ex-Officio of INYC, Mr. Mike Odeli made the declaration yesterday when he led his executive and members of INYC to visit the Olu designate so as to keep him abreast of their activities in preparation for his coronation.
Chief Roland Omagbemi who spoke on behalf of Prince Godfrey Emiko told the INYC delegation to ensure that they sustain the prevailing peace in Warri Kingdom, adding that the Itsekiris are known for their peaceful nature.
The Public Relations Officer of INYC, Mr. Gbubemi Abigor who spoke with Our Correspondent noted that they delayed their visit to the Olu designate because they were carrying out sanitation as well as repairs on the internal roads of Ode-Itsekiri, the ancestral home of the Itsekiri people in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.
Since the formal announcement of the demise of late Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse II and the subsequent unveiling of the Olu of Warri designate, Prince Godfrey Ikenwoli Emiko, there have been several visitors to the Itsekiri people of Delta State by several socio-political and ethnic groups as well as individuals.
