The riverine Degehele Community in Warri South-West Council Area of Delta State has dissolved its nine years old Trust Executive with a call for indigenes with interest in contesting for any position to signify same through collection and filling of the community forms.
The dissolution of the old Executive was effected on October 30, 2015 by the Olara-Aja (community head) Pa. Samson Amola in-council with the elders and leaders of the oil rich community with the setting up of a 5-man electoral committee chaired by Mr. Reson Golly.
Pa. Samson Amola said the date for the election of new trust members is Saturday, 14 November, 2015 and venue is Tsaninomi Hall, Degehele Town starting from 9am.
According to Pa. Samson Amola, Mr. Jefferson Arubi shall serve as Secretary to the Electoral Committee while Honsbira Aghawu, Perere Pemu Arayi and Rebecca Edema are members, saying that all interested applicant for any position in the trust should collect their application forms at Esilokun Guest House, Ajamimogha, Warri for proper documentation and accreditation.
The Deghele Community has been embroiled in turmoil for quite some time now over the resolved by the community to effect a change in the leadership of the trust to chart a new way forward for the growth and development of the community.
