Delta group expresses support for Buhari’s change agenda

Respected Delta based political pressure group, Peculiar Women and Youths in Politics has expressed optimism that President Muhammadu Buhari led APC Federal Government will bring about the needed positive change Nigerians strongly desire.

President and Founder of Peculiar Women and Youths in Politics, Mrs. Akande Awani Felicia stated this in a chat with newsmen Sunday November 15 shortly after inaugurating new set of State and Local Government Executives to pilot the affairs of the group.

While noting that the caliber of persons chosen by President Buhari in his cabinet are capable of implementing the policies and programmes of his administration, Mrs. Akande Awani noted that Peculiar Women and Youths in Politics is out to support credible candidates no matter the political party, adding that former Delta State governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan as well as the immediate past Delta State Commissioner for Works, Mr. Funkekeme Solomon were some of the credible candidates the group which has over 17,000 members supported in the past.

She disclosed that a programme being planned by the group will hold sometime in December this year and assured members that empowerment is in the offing for those who are committed.

Our Correspondent reports that other members of the State Executive sworn-in include Omoghaghare Roland-Secretary, Joyce Uduaregbe-Vice President, Delta South, Sedi Godwin-Vice President, Delta Central, Olubiwe Ossai-Vice President, Delta North, Hon. (Barr.) David Eyitemi Oki-Legal Adviser and Wale Nice-Project Supervisor.
