Feelers just reaching Fresh Angle International say the Appeal Court sitting in Benin City, Edo State has declared former Chief Whip of Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Omawumi Beatrice Udoh the duly elected member representing Warri South Constituency 1 in Delta State House of Assembly.
Hon. Udoh who re-contested the April 11, 2015 House of Assembly poll on the platform of People’s Democratic Party, PDP against the will of the party’s political leaders in Warri South Local Government Area only managed to secure the party flag at Abuja after Hon. Godwin Toritseju Abigor reportedly won the party primary in Warri.
Following the alleged substitution of Hon. Abigor’s name with that of Hon. Omawumi Udoh at Abuja, Hon. Abigor who was the choice of former Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, Dr. Joseph Otumara and other political leaders in Warri South Local Government Area had to pursue his candidacy on the platform of Social Democratic Party, SDP on the advice of his political leaders.
With the Appeal Court judgment today which came as a shocker and likely to change the political equation in Warri South, Hon. Udoh is only waiting to be sworn in once again as member of Delta State House of Assembly.
The Appeal Court only 48 hours ago gave judgment in favour of Hon. Abigor against his other contender, Barr. Robinson Ariyo of All Progressives Congress.
