As from January 2016, the pump price of petrol will be below the present rate of N87/litre, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu has said.
The Minister made this known at the Port Harcourt Refinery and Petrochemical on Friday.
Mr. Kachikwu said he has already approved the new template for petrol price and it will take effect from January.
He also said the new template has removed many of the unnecessary charges for petrol import.
