The Police in Delta State says its Patrol Team have gunned down a robbery suspect in Ughelli, Delta State, while another who was attempting to disposes a bank customer of his money at Eco Bank, Warri have been arrested.
A statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, Delta State Command, DSP. Celestina Kalu, disclosed that then DPO ‘A’ Division, Ughelli received information about a robbery operation at Robert Allory Street, Uloho Avenue, Ughelli and immediately detailed a Patrol Team to the scene, adding that in the process of gun duel with the hoodlums, one of the bandits was gunned down and the other two: One Isaac Aghofine, aged 22 of Number 25 Robert Allory Street as well as Innocent Eyeba, aged 19 of Ememukhowane Village in Ughelli area were apprehended.
The statement added that items recovered from the robbery suspects included two double barrel cut-to-size guns, one locally made pistol, four expended two live cartridges and some mobile phones.
The Police also noted that the robbery suspect who was nabbed at Eco Bank in Warri, also in Delta State was the handiwork of a combined team of QRS Operatives, Warri and 39PMF Osogho personnel on internal security at Eco Bank, Warri.
One cut-to-size locally made gun was recovered from the suspect on the spot, while further search on the scene of the robbery incident led to the recovery of another cut-to-size double barrel gun and ten live cartridges.
