A top Edo business mogul, Mr. Felix Edosomwan, the owner of a leading club house and a five star hotel in Benin City, Edo State is in a battle with the family of Late Prince Omo Oribhabor over ownership of a building resulting in unnecessary destruction of property.

Confirming the story to Our Benin City Correspondent, Prince Ayemere Omo-Oribhabor, son of the late politician said they woke up in the early hours of Wednesday 20th June 2012 to see destruction of the fence of their house at number 6, Aikhiobare street off Ihama in G.R.A, Benin City while one of their security dogs was brutally killed by the suspected assassins who could not gain entry into the main building.

Prince Oribhabor further told Fresh Angle that Mr. Felix Edosomwan who claimed to have bought the property in 1994 for the sum of 1million naira from an agricultural bank where his father borrowed some money could not wait for a pending court judgment. “We have been in court for over 15 years on the issue, my father took a loan from an agric bank which is no longer in existence, NCB to be precise and has paid the loan but his house was secretly and wrongfully sold to one Felix Edosomwan, the owner of TimeOut club house and Prestige hotel.  Few days ago, he brought thugs to our house to forcefully evict my mother and siblings from our house, but we eventually entered our house with the help of the police. But yesterday when we got to the police station, he told the police that he has won the case in the court.  In the early hours of today (June 20th) by 2am, we started hearing noise around the compound, our dogs started barking only for us to wake up this morning to see one of the dogs killed with cuts on its head and neck. I have made report to the police and I am calling on the government to please grant us security from the hands of Mr. Felix Edosomwan” Prince Oribhabor pleaded.

Prince Omo-Oribhabor who displayed receipts showing that his father paid for the loan taken from the bank, alleged that “the bank manager who fraudulently sold the property to Mr. Edosomwan has ran away from the country. So many people have advised him to go and collect his money from the bank which according to him is one million for two  flats, but he want to collect our house because our father is not alive” he further alleged.
