Exclusive: Man in Police net for selling own baby for N2million

A controversial absurdity is brewing in Orhuwhorun Community, Udu Local Government Area of Delta State following the alleged sale of a day-old baby for N2million by her father, one Mr. Happy Fashion, who is a member of vigilante in Orhuwhorun, Fresh Angle International can authoritatively report.

The ugly development was blown up by mother of the new born baby, Mrs. Abigail Happy when she discovered that her sixth baby which she gave birth to on Monday January 11, 2016 at about 5pm had been whisked away by her hubby in connivance with his friend identified simply as Mr. Obakpororo.

Mrs. Abigail who told close associates that her husband abandoned her before the delivery and claimed to be out of town when she informed him of delivery of the baby, became curious when he suddenly showed up at home and told her not to  breastfeed the baby.

Our Senior Correspondent reports that it was the following day after Mr. Happy Fashion returned home that he cunningly hoodwinked his wife into a state of comfort by promising to take care of the house chores. He later in connivance with his friend, Obakpororo purportedly carried the baby and put her in black nylon bag, after which the innocent child was allegedly transferred to another female friend who took the baby to a waiting Jeep piloted by a man.

It was the couple’s eldest son that reportedly saw all that transpired, while the baby’s mother was said to be sleeping during the episode, even as another account stated that she was taking her bath when the baby was whisked away.

The suspect, Mr. Happy Fashion and two of his accomplices have been arrested and were cooling off at the Ovwian Aladja Police Station in Udu Local Government Area, even as the whereabouts of his baby he sold for N2million was unknown as at the time of this report.

Mr. Happy Fashion reportedly ran to an herbalist for protection at Emadaja community in Udu Local Government Area after selling the baby before his arrest.

Efforts to get words from the DPO of Ovwian Aladja Police Station on the development via mobile phone were futile as he declined comments, saying he could not respond to questions on the issue on phone.
