The Management of Warri based Waste Management and Bottle Water Production Company, Don Parker General Enterprises Limited have described the conduct of EFCC Operatives during their raid on the company earlier this week as “most professional and up-to-the task”, insisting that neither its Procurement Manager, Omoregha Emmanuel or any of the company staff granted interview to any media regarding the EFCC visit.
In a statement released in Warri, Delta State, Saturday January 23, 2016, the company while acknowledging that the EFCC Operatives stormed their Warri Headquarters and ransacked its premises in the most professional manner, expressed “utter dismay and chagrin” in reports published in the Authority and Vanguard Newspapers of Friday January 22 and Saturday January 23, 2016 respectively, wherein the Procurement Manager of the Company was quoted to have purportedly granted interview regarding the EFCC raid.
The statement stressed that reporters of the affected media “never had any interview with staffers of the company”, adding that the Management and Staff of the company were fully co-operative with officials of the EFCC “and as such there was no need for any form of harassment or confrontation”.
While noting that the conduct of the EFCC Operatives is “the most professional that he has ever experienced”, Mr. Omoregha Emmanuel described the media reports as “radically different from what actually transpired” on the day of the raid.
