At least three persons are feared dead in a brewing communal land dispute between Egbo and Otokutu Communities in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, Fresh Angle International has learned.

Feelers from the area revealed that troubled started when a private company began grading the boundary land allegedly measuring about 15 acres and youths from Egbo sought to know who sold the land to the unnamed company.

Reports say in the course of probing, the company told the Egbo youths that the land was purportedly sold to them by Otokutu Community and that allegedly angered the Egbo youths, who we gathered attacked the neighbouring Otokutu Community on Monday January 25 and killed an Otokutu indigene.

According to sources from Otokutu Community, youths from the community launched a reprisal and killed two youths of Egbo in a bloody clash the following day, Tuesday January 26.

Though details of the development was still sketchy as at the time of this report, it was gathered that soldiers have waded in to avert further bloodshed and they were said to be stationed at the boundary of both communities.
