NNPC gets licence to generate electricity for Maiduguri

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited, NNPCL, has been granted licence to generate 50 Mega watts of electricity for Borno state capital, Maiduguri and its environs.

 

A thread sighted this morning, Saturday November 26 on the twitter handle of NNPCL by Fresh Angle International, showed that the Minister of Power, Engr. Abubakar D. Aliyu, presented the licence yesterday to the Group Chief Executive Officer, GCEO of NNPCL, Mallam Mele Kolo Kyari.

 

The project is christened, " Maiduguri Emergency Power Project, MEPP."
