His Imperial Majesty, Atuwatse III, The Olu of Warri, ex- President of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Papa Ayo Oritsejafor, immediate past Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan as well as current Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly cum Delta State PDP Governorship Candidate in the March 2023 general polls, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, are among heavyweights expected to attend the opening ceremony of Dr. Michael Tidi Inter-Community Unity/Peace Cup 2022.
The tournament, which is courtesy of Warri South Local Government Council, will kick-off 3pm Sunday December 18 at Nana Model College, Warri in Delta State.
Warri South Council Supervisor for Community Development, Information, Youths, Sports and Culture, Mr. Sunny Omene Mabiaku, in a pre-tournament presser held Thursday December 15 in Warri, explained that the inter-community soccer fiesta, to be hosted by the second-term Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael E. Tidi, will be kicked-off Sunday by the immediate past Chairman of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC and Delta South PDP Senatorial candidate in next year’s polls, Hon. Michael Diden.
The Member Representing Warri Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Chief (Dr.) Thomas Ereyitomi, a former Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Chief (Dr.) Roland Oritsejafor, the Members Representing Warri South Constituencies I and II in Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Augustine Uroye and Hon. Matthew Poko Opuoru, respectively, are among distinguished personalities that would grace the opening ceremony.

Matthew Mofe Edema, former member of Delta State House of Assembly and current member of Delta State Executive Council, Hon. (Mrs.) Shola Ogbemi Daibo, the Member Representing Itsekiri Ethnic Nationality in the Board of DESOPADEC, Hon.
