The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Thursday February 18, canvassed for prayer for peace in Uvwie Local Government Area so as to avoid unrest in Uvwie Kingdom.
The Christian apex body made the call at the Ovie of Uvwie Palace in Effurun during the Monarch’s 8th coronation anniversary celebration.
Fresh Angle International Correspondent who was at the Interdenominational Thanksgiving Service held at the Ovie Palace, Effurun, reports that a representative of CAN, Rev. Fr. Emakpor while emphasizing the theme of the celebration, “Moving Into Excellence”, said there is a need to pray for mercy and peace in Uvwie land.
Rev. Fr. Emakpor while praying for the Ovie of Uvwie, HRM Emmanuel .E. Sideso Abe 1, JP, prayed that God should give the Monarch the wisdom and enablement to lead his subjects.
In the same vein, the Chairman of Uvwie Palace Security, Chief Joel Akporehe, JP also prayed for peace and progress in the land, urging Uvwie indigenes to remain prayerful and key into the agenda of the monarch so that infrastructural development, peace and prosperity can come to the land, noting that only such will attract local and foreign investments in Uvwie Kingdom.
