A five-man Ureju Development Association (UDA) Caretaker Committee to oversee the affairs of Ureju Community in Warri North Local Government Area for the next  six months has been set up with a mandate to draft a bye-law in consonance with the provisions of the community for the youths as it affects sharing of executive positions and rotation formula.
The Committee which has the authority of the Olare-Aja (oldest man) and Chairman of Council of Elders, Pa. Monday Jemeregbe Tonwe, Secretary of the Elders Council, Pa. John Eguando and the entire Ureju Community people has Mr. Larry Edeka Omonedo as Chairman.
Our Correspondent reports that while Ogedema Emeyeju will serve as Secretary, Mr. Friday Ojobon, Mr. Ogedema Oghonuya and Solomon Seruwa are members.
A Statement signed by the Olare-Aja and Chairman of Ureju Council of Elders, Pa. Monday Jemeregbe Tonwe and Secretary of the Elders Council, Pa. John Eguando tasked members of the committee to as a matter of necessity unite all indigenes of the community with a view to creating peaceful atmosphere for positive development.
Responding on behalf of others, Chairman of the five-man Ureju Development Association (UDA) Caretaker Committee, Mr. Larry Edeka Omonedo assured the Olare-Aja and Chairman of Ureju Council of Elders, Pa. Monday Tonwe and the entire indigenes of the community that they will abide by the dictates of their mandate.
