PIA: Let’s reciprocate the gesture by voting Tinubu, APC- Group directs people of 2,412 host communities

Members of the Amalgamated Host Communities Producing Oil & Gas & Pipeline Impacted Communities in Nigeria, AHCPOGPICN, have directed its members in 13 states and 2,412 communities across Nigeria, to vote for the All Progressives Congress Presidential Candidate in forthcoming Saturday February 25 polls, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other APC candidates, to reciprocate the enactment of the Petroleum Industry Act, PIA by President Muhammadu Buhari in 2021, “after it was introduced 23 years ago as Petroleum Industry Bill, PIB, to National Assembly, during Chief Olusegun Obasanjo- led People's Democratic People Government”.

Fresh Angle International can report that the directive was handed down in a statement released Monday February 20, by the National Chairman of Amalgamated Host Communities Producing Oil & Gas & Pipeline Impacted Communities in Nigeria, Mr. Rowland Diamond Tonwe.

Mr. Tonwe, who explained that Amalgamated Host Communities Producing Oil & Gas & Pipeline Impacted Communities in Nigeria is saddled with the responsibility of fighting for the rights of the Niger Delta from the settlors (who are Oil and Gas companies) and the Federal Government that has always connived with them to short-change Niger Deltans, noted: “One of the fallouts of the agitations for a fair treatment for our people, apart from the creation of Niger Delta Ministry, is the Petroleum Industry Act, PIA, enacted by the Buhari Government in 2021.

“This law which was introduced 23 years ago as Petroleum Industry Bill, PIB, to National Assembly in Chief Olusegun Obasanjo- led People's Democratic People Government of 8 years, never saw the light of day. Ditto for the brief tenure of Yar'Ardua.

“The golden chance to better the lot of our people presented itself, through either good policies or legislation, presented itself, when our brother, a son of the region, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan became President. However, he bungled this auspicious opportunity and the PIB was flagrantly abandoned to die among other benefits were denied the region. But thanks to the All Progressives Congress, APC Government of President Muhammadu Buhari .My people, politics/general election is here again. And all the candidates who are campaigning have their eyes on the Oil wealth.

“But we must be very vigilant not to entrust our future in the hands of those who do not wish us, the Niger Delta people well. The PDP pillaged our country in the 16 years of their misrule. The APC government that gave us the PIA must be commended. In these elections, let us reciprocate this kind gesture by voting for the APC in the region.

“We cannot pretend not to know that all national assets were pilfered by the PDP under the watch of Obasanjo and Atiku. The PDP Presidential candidate soled all the companies to himself and cronies under guise of privitazation, which body he Chaired while he was Vice President. Our national patrimony was plundered by Atiku and his cohorts. We must not allow that to repeat itself, should APC loose the presidential election, we should forget proper implementation of the PIA, I  thereby direct all our 13 member states and 2,412 communities as it has become compulsory we vote for the APC Presidential candidate ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU.”
