Feelers reaching Fresh Angle International say the Delta State School of Marine Technology Burutu, headquarters of Burutu Local Government Area was on Monday March 7 shut down over scrapping of riverine allowance for staff of the Institution.
As a result of the issue a meeting of the Institution's academic board was also closed, even as the institution's Provost, Dr. C. E. O Anuku has promised to convey the grievance of the staff to the appropriate authority.
Indications also emerged that staffers of the school have concluded plan to disrupt the Institution's Governing Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday March 8 at the school campus if their grievance is not addressed.
Chairman of the School's Governing Council, Barr. Isah Clark could not be reached for comment as at the time of this report.
