Uwakeno: Court Remands Orugboh, three others to Sapele Correctional Centre over alleged forgery


The Federal High Court in the Warri Judicial Division, on Monday March 6, remanded Fidelis Ete Orugboh, Mayomi Boyitie, Okini Uwatse and Benjamin Urowayino to Sapele Correctional Centre, over alleged forgery of minutes of meeting of Incorporated Trustees of Uwakeno Community in Warri South Local Government Area, Delta State.

Fresh Angle International understands that the case with charge number: FHC/WR/106c/2022, is between Inspector General of Police Vs Fidelis Ete Orugboh, Mayomi Boyitie, Okini Uwatse and Benjamin Urowayino.

According to the IGP, the defendants, forged minutes of meeting of Incorporated Trustees of Uwakeno Community in their favour, “to gain consent of CAC, which resulted to the changes of Trustees (of Uwakeno) and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section Code 467 (b) of the criminal code Cap C38 Vol. 1, Law of the Federation, 2004.”

Whilst alleging that the four defendants falsely represented themselves, “by sending false information to CAC,” the IGP posited that Fidelis Ete Orugboh, Mayomi Boyitie, Okini Uwatse and Benjamin Urowayino, “committed an offence punishable under Section 484 of the criminal code Act Cap C8 Vol.1, Laws of the Federation, 2004.”

When contacted on telephone, Fidelis Orugboh, stated: “They gave me till tomorrow (Tuesday March 7) to complete the bail condition. The bail condition, is for me to provide C of O of land.”
