PDP bleeds in Delta as Ofioguma quits, leads Ekrejegbe community into APC

Six days to the March 11 gubernatorial elections in Delta State, the gale of defections that led to PDP woeful performance in the last presidential and National Assembly elections have continued unabated with immediate past Vice Chairman of Ughelli South Local Government Council, Olorogun Matthew Ofioguma leading the entire Ekrejegbe Community of Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State to totally surrender all votes in the communities to the All Progressives Congress during the coming gubernatorial and house of Assembly elections.

Speaking at the APC campaign rally which took place at the Ekrejegbe playground, Chief Matthew Ofioguma disclosed that the PDP was being run by a cabal who are so selfish and myopic in their cult-like attitude to leadership that he and his team has no option but to join hands with Senator Ovie Omo-Agege to rescue the state from the gang of irresponsible feather-weight politicians masquerading as party leaders in the area.

‘’This is the end of the road for PDP in this community. The election is already won and lost in Ekrejegbe. PDP has outlived her usefulness and we are here to bury the tattered, evil and dubious umbrella that has brought only pains and sorrow to our people over the years. PDP has no good plans for our people. APC has brought light to our people and anybody still deceiving PDP that they will get votes in Ekrejegbe is only after the money the party can offer. It is over. PDP is dead and buried today’’, he added.

Olorogun Ofioguma, who led onslaught against the party on Saturday February 25th that saw the APC winning all elections in the community, declared emphatically that he has formally resigned his membership of the ‘’sinking PDP to join the APC. As you all know, PDP went to court to argue for more pains on the masses over the naira redesign imbroglio yet, APC governors were fighting Mr President, who is leader of their own party over the matter to literarily position the PDP as enemy of the people. The people saw the wickedness of the PDP and disown the party on February 25th.

‘’PDP has no good agenda for the masses. Only a clique bound together by selfish interests having the running the party over the years and once you decide not to belong, you cannot grow in the party. PDP has a very terrible reward system and today, they are paying dearly for it. Saturday March 11 will be the final onslaught and APC will win the state for the first time to teach the mindless, wicked, iniquitous and dubious gang led by Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa a lesson they will never forget.

‘’I can assure you that before Saturday, big names across the state will dump the umbrella for the broom revolution. I am glad to be part of the revolution that is set to sweep PDP from Delta State’’, he said.

At Ekrejegbe to receive the defectors in Ughelli south were Chief Engr Godwin Sigbenu, Leader, APC Ughelli south representing the DSP Ovie Omo-Agege, Olorogun Dr John Oyibokifi, APC House of Assembly candidate for Ughelli South, Mrs Alice Oghenevwairhe, DUG Coordinator for Ughelli South, Hon Solomon Toka, SLA to Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, mr Oghenesoro Otobrise Ellis, President general of Ekrejegbe Community and Comrade Bernard Oshegbe, APC Ward 7 chairman among others.
